PA01.01. Effect of rakthamoksha in sandhigata vata with special reference to osteoarthritis

Purpose:
To evaluate the effect of rakthamoksha in Sandhigata vata.There are different type of joints like Fibrous, Cartilaginous & Synovial the sandhigata vata can affect the joints.My study is to evaluate the effect of rakthamoksha in sandigata vata.
Method:
After poorvakarma by doing sneha and swedana a tourniquet is applied tightly 4 inches above the selected area to facilitate bleeding.Then pricking is done it«SQ»s not deep.When the required amount of blood is let out the tourniquet is released.
Result:
Patient got relief from pain due to sandigada vata.
Conclusion:
It«SQ»s a effective treatment that will bring quick relief of pain to sandigada vata patients.
